Freshney Green, Grimsby

A multi-million pound redevelopment by Shoreline Housing Partnership and Stamford Homes, “Freshney Green” on the site of the former Yarborough Estate in Grimsby will boast 296 homes that are 25% more efficient than those built to current Building Regulations, thanks to Green Energy Solutions UK.

We are assisting the developers to bring forward properties that will meet code level 3 Standard for Sustainable Homes, through the installation of Photovoltaic panels.

Four GPV module system and Mastervolt Soladdin 600 inverters will generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity.

These provide approximately 545kWh of energy per annum which will not only reduce energy bills for tenants, but also generate revenue for Shoreline Housing Partnership through the government’s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme.

Through the FIT scheme a payment of 36 pence per KW for all electricity generated is guaranteed for 25 years as well as a separate payment for the electricity exported to the national grid.

Green Energy Solutions UK is consistently meeting the developer’s tight deadlines on the ambitious project and Grant Polar PV systems were an obvious choice due to the availability of the inverters and parts.

Nicola Leach, for Shoreline Housing Partnership comments:

“We were very impressed with how Green Energy Solutions interpreted our sustainable energy needs, providing very high quality products that were also cost effective. The installation process was straightforward, and the team stayed right on schedule, an important consideration for us.”
